Relationships and Sex Education

We are delighted to launch our Relationships and Sex Education programme for 2021. Following the consultation with parents, students, staff and Governors we can now share that we will be using the Ten:Ten Life to the Full programme which is included on this page. You will also find a link to the RSE Policy and curriculum map.

Relationships and sex education is an important part of our curriculum and will be delivered through PSHE sessions every fortnight. Relationships are an incredibly important part of our school community and we will be exploring a wide variety of relationships which focus on respect for all. Each and every member of our school community has an important role to play and we know that positive relationships are key to any success.

A part of the Ten:Ten programme parents will be able to access the Parent Portal allowing you access to the programme and see what each year group will be covering. There are tasks that can be completed at home to complement lessons in school. The log in and password for the Parent Portal have been sent to all parents at the start of the autumn term. If you require these again then please email enquiries@cardinal-newman.co.uk FAO Mrs Finn

If you feel your child may need additional support with any topic covered then please do let us know so that we can ensure they feel comfortable and at ease.

The first lesson will be delivered during your child's RE lessons in the first 2 weeks of the Autumn term . The remainder of the lessons will run from Monday 27th September until Christmas.
