Welcome to Cardinal Newman Catholic High School.

As a proud Roman Catholic school, Christ is at the centre of everything we do. Guided by the teachings and principles of St John Henry Newman, we are committed to nurturing young people to flourish academically, socially and spiritually, enabling them to truly "live life to the full" (John 10:10).

Cardinal Newman is a vibrant, caring and welcoming community where every student is known, valued and encouraged to achieve their very best. We are proud of the excellent relationships that exist between staff and students, creating a positive and purposeful atmosphere where learning can thrive. Our strong climate for learning supports students to develop confidence, resilience and a love of learning that will serve them well throughout their lives.

We encourage our students to be curious, ambitious and engaged learners. Through our broad and balanced curriculum, alongside an extensive range of extra-curricular opportunities, students are challenged to discover and develop their individual talents, interests and aspirations. Whether in the classroom, on the sports field, through the performing arts, in service to others, or in leadership opportunities, we believe every child should have the chance to grow, succeed and make a positive contribution.

Our mission extends beyond academic success. We are committed to developing young people of strong character, integrity and compassion, rooted in Gospel values and equipped with a deep sense of social responsibility. As they leave Cardinal Newman, our students are prepared not only with excellent qualifications, but also with the moral foundation, faith and confidence to enrich their own lives and the lives of others.
