Careers across the Curriculum
This year, our school is placing a strong focus on Careers Across the Curriculum, ensuring every student can clearly see how their learning connects to real-world pathways and future opportunities. Each department is highlighting the diverse roles and career routes within their subject area—from the creative industries and STEM fields to public services, the arts, business, and beyond.
Teachers are also embedding employability skill development directly into lessons, using the Skills Builder Framework to strengthen essential competencies such as teamwork, problem solving, leadership, creativity, communication, and self-management. By linking subject content to these core skills, we aim to help students recognise their strengths, build confidence, and understand how classroom learning prepares them for life beyond school.
Together, these experiences give students a richer, more informed picture of the world of work and support them in making meaningful decisions about their future pathways.
