Severe breach of school rules:



Truancy (from individual lessons or from school)



Bringing alcohol to school or consuming alcohol on the premises or on the way to/ from school

 

Dealing in drugs or consuming drugs to/from/on the premises.

 

 

Serious wilful damage to school property.

 

Theft/Gambling/dealing with illicit sales on the school site.

 

 

Vandalism/Graffiti

 





Racial abuse, sexual harassment

 

 

Bringing dangerous/inappropriate items to school E.G. weapons or replicas/pornographic material. Inviting intruders on site.



This is a serious offence. Home willl always be informed by HOY. Students will receive after school detentions – normally one detention per lesson missed, in order to catch up on any work. The school may refer the student to the Local Authority attendance team.

Parents will be immediately informed by HOY and students will be sent home.  Fixed-term exclusion will be automatic.

This will attract an automatic fixed-term exclusion which may lead to permanent exclusion.  Parents will be informed immediately and students will be sent home.  The school’s drugs policy will be followed.

Students will be expected to pay for any repair costs and will face automatic fixed-period exclusion which may lead to permanent exclusion.

All allegations will be thoroughly investigated and this may result in Police involvement. Fixed-period or permanent exclusion may follow depending on severity of incident.

Students are expected to remove this where possible.  Otherwise the cost of cleaning/repairing will be passed onto the student. This may take place during an after school detention.
